Run SWMM Online for Stormwater and Drainage Modeling
Run EPA SWMM 5.2.4 simulations directly in your browser. Professional stormwater modeling, urban drainage design, and flood risk assessment without software installation.
What is SWMM and how does it work?
EPA SWMM (Storm Water Management Model) is the industry-standard dynamic rainfall-runoff simulation model developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Used worldwide by civil and environmental engineers, SWMM 5.2.4 simulates single-event and continuous hydrology with full hydrodynamic routing through urban drainage networks, combined sewers, and natural channel systems.
The model tracks water quantity and quality through subcatchments, conveyance networks, and storage-treatment facilities. It handles complex rainfall patterns, snow melt, groundwater interactions, and real-time control rules for pump stations, weirs, and regulators.
Run SWMM in your browser (no installation required)
Native EPA Engine
HydroBOA runs the official EPA-SWMM 5.2.4 executable in the cloud, not a WebAssembly approximation. Results match desktop SWMM identically.
Zero Installation
Open any .inp file directly in your browser. Edit subcatchments, conduits, junctions, and storage units with the visual editor — no desktop software required.
Cloud-based SWMM simulation workflows
Upload your SWMM model, configure simulation parameters, and execute runs on scalable cloud infrastructure. Results stream back in real time with interactive maps, time-series plots at nodes and links, and exportable reports in PDF and CSV formats. HydroBOA's offline-first design means you can edit models without internet and sync simulation jobs when connectivity returns.
Workflow
Design offline → Upload .inp → Run cloud simulation → Visualize results → Iterate
Why use HydroBOA for SWMM modeling?
HydroBOA provides an integrated environment where SWMM models work alongside EPANET and HEC-RAS within a unified workspace. Automated optimization with Differential Evolution and BOA algorithms, GIS-based catchment editing, Git-like version control, and cross-platform access from Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android make HydroBOA the most capable SWMM modeling platform available.
